Leeds United Receives Boost as Defender Set to Train

Aapo Halme

Reports reaching from Finland, makes us understand that Leeds United defender Aapo Halme has now confirmed he will be returning back to training soon, following his two months injury.

The Finland footballer got sidelined with the foot injury shortly after signing for the Championship club back in January from HJK Helsinki, as he is still waiting for his official debut.

The Finnish centre-back, made his name known in his country club as a first team regular, which saw him acquire 36 appearances in all competitions for the club last season.

The 19-year-old has quickly rose to fame with his impressive performances for his Finnish club, and saw his immediate signing to the Leeds team, who dropped him to the reserve squad instantly.

Now its been confirmed that he will be returning to the Whites team, with the centre-back going back to the gym to rebuild his fitness for any Championship game coming his way. Although, the teenager might just not be getting his first team start with the club.

Leeds United defence has been shown of recent flaws as Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper have been in their very best form for the team which automically calls for reinforcements in the heart of defence, which is where Helme comes in.

Aapo Halme has been tagged to be one of European future prospects in the coming years as he is tipped for a great future in Europe, suppose he can get past the U23 level.
