Wolves Set to make Summer Transfer raid for Andre Silva

Newly promoted and Championship winners, Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen to make a comeback to the Premier League with a much stronger side as they are keen on bringing in AC Milan striker Andre Silva and made him their prime target this summer.

Being funded by a Chinese company Fosun International, Wolves will be capable of signing talented players to strengthen up their side for what’s to come in the Premier League.

The newly promoted Championship club alliance with Jorge Mendes, who has several ties with young talent in Portuguese players, has been very fruitful for Wolves this season as they have been able to bring Diego Jota and Helder Costa with both players being Medes clients.

The club session in the transfer window over the years has tagged them as a club only breeding youngsters from Portugal, with Mendes playing a major role in that, following the signing of Ruben Neves for club and Championship record fee believed to be around £15.8 million.

However, with the ties Mendes have with Portugal youngsters the Wolverhampton club should be having a upper hand in bringing in Andre Silva right from AC Milan to the Molineux Stadium this summer.

Silva was also among the youngsters tipped for a bright future in Europe, after having an outstanding season while at Porto, where he bagged himself 21 goals in 44 appearances. But failed to repeat that same feat for AC Milan this season as he could only register 10 goals in 39 appearances.

The 21-year-old striker was called up to the Portugal national team during an international break back in August, 2017 by national coach Fernando Santos, and was able to score his first goal in a 6-0 victory against Andorra and three days later saw him net a hat trick against Faroe Islands in a friendly match.

Not getting enough game time in any club, could stir up frustrations in any top player, as Silva have only been able to register 7 Serie A starts in 23 appearances this season.

Andre Silva lack of first team regular can only mean another upper hand given to Wolves in the opportunity to land him this summer.
