Adrien Rabiot in contact with Jurgen Klopp on a possible move to Anfield

Premier League giants, Liverpool have been reported to have contacted Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot over a possible move to Anfield, according to ESPN FC.

The English club are understood to be very desparate to add him their one of many players, especially if he could be landed on a free transfer.

The Red’s manager Jurgen Klopp, whose team has been very strong to the start of the season, is a strong fan of Rabiot with reports revealing that Klopp tried signing him back at Borussia Dortmund when he coach the German club.

The report further states that Klopp has been secretly watching Rabiot’s performances over the year also claiming that the duo have kept in touch with each other on the phone and discussing a move.

However, Liverpool are the only European team gunning for the 23-year-old midfielder as Barcelona is also heavily linked with the star man.

The 23-year-old Frenchman contract with the Parisians well only last till 2019 belong in his final season with the club having rejected numerous contract extension offered by PSG to convince him to stay.

As from January Adrien Rabiot will be able to leave the French club on a free transfer for a new club, according to ESPN.

The Merseysiders, on the other hand, will be facing a very stiff competition to sign Rabiot as Barcelona could reignite their interest in the France International.

Last October, Rabiot reveals his boyhood admiration for Liverpool which could give the Reds and Klopp an upper hand in landing him to Anfield.

“I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young,” Rabiot told a French radio station RMC.

With just three games played in the Premier League, Liverpool are currently leading the table with all 12 points from three games.
