The 18-year-old midfielder has been reported by the Roma website to have put pen to paper on a five-year deal that runs till 2023 for an initial €4.5 million fee, and he will be putting on the No. 22 shirt for next season.
Becoming a Nerazzuri, Zaniolo expressed his excitement of joining the club: “I’m proud to get the opportunity to represent this club,” Zaniolo said via Roma website.
“Now I have to demonstrate out on the pitch exactly what I can do.”
Happy with his new signing, Roma sporting director Monchi said: “I am very pleased to welcome Nicolo to Trigoria.
“He has a talent that left a clear impression on us last season, a campaign in which he underlined why he is considered one of the most interesting prospects in Italian football.”
Playing for Inter milan U-19 side, Nicolo Zaniolo helped his team win the League title with 13 goals and providing a further eight assists in 26 appearances for his side last season.
