Being pivotal for the Wolves last season as they won the EFL Championship with 99 points, Ruben Neves was understood to have formerly been linked to Liverpool during the summer.
According to reports emerging from FourFourTwo, the Jurgen Klopp‘s side were desperate to sign the Portugese international from Wolves during the summer but the club rebuffed all offers coming the Merseysiders.
English news source, Daily Mail claims that the EFL Championship winners priced their prolific play-maker at £60 million last summer also further noting that the no deal was agreed between the two parties.
And recently Wolves boss, Nuno Espirito Santo confirms that the club has been contacted for the availability of a key player in his team (not stating the name).

Speaking, Nuno said: “(A big club already approached us) and the player is still here. Because he wants to be. The moment that it fees natural that you can’t stop these things anymore then okay. It’s natural. Things happen naturally.”
The Wolves boss apparently doesn’t want to reveal the player’s name and the cl ub involved, but the chances could be Liverpool have re-emerged to sign the Ruben Neves or Manchester City is the club contacting.
Ruben Neves, who is has been tagged to be one of the future prospects, is slowing showing his £60 million price tag to the Wolves following his impressive performance so far this season.
Should Neves continue to improve his current form this season, Wolverhampton Wanderers might just be having a lot of rebuffs to make as big clubs (not just from England but Europe) will come knocking at their door to secure the services of the Portuguese international.
In their next Premier League fixture before the international, Wolves will be traveling to as visitors to Emirates Stadium and take on Arsenal fighting for three points.
