Brighton Close to signing La Liga star Florin Andone

In the hopes of coming back stronger next season, Brighton and Hove Albion are keen on strengthening their forward position next season as they’ve been linked with several forwards in Europe and are currently eyeing a move for Deportivo La Coruna striker Florin Andone, according to respected journalist
Guillem Balague.

The 25-year-old has been a long term target for the Seagulls in the past summers and will be available for sale for £5.2m following his club relegation away from the La Liga.

The Spanish journalist, Balague said: “Brighton are close to signing striker Florin Andone from Deportivo, he scored 19 goals in 48 games for Deportivo.

“He’s a very mobile forward and works very hard without the ball.

“He reminds me a little bit of Marko Arnautovic.

“Perhaps he needs a lot of chances to score but Chris Hughton is quite impressed with him.

“He has identified him as a target and wants to bring him to the club.”

The Romania forward has only been able to bag himself 19 goals in 69 appearances for the relegated club Deportivo since joining the Spanish club back in summer of 2016.

But will Florin Andone be a good move for the Seagulls, should they pull off a deal for the Romania? Andone abilities to hold on to the ball could be just what Brighton want in their team. But the striker might fail to turn up in expected games for the English club as he could save his Spanish club from
relegation.

Meanwhile, in other news, Brighton and Hove Albion have tied up their manager Chris Hughton in a new three-year deal at the club.
