Brigton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister does not want to return from loan

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who is currently on loan with Boca Juniors, has publicly made his desire to stay with the club known.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who is not keen on returning to England, joined Boca on loan during the summer transfer window, which is his second loan duty since signing for the Seagulls back in January.

And ever since joining the club on a loan spell, the midfielder has been impressive in his last few games for the club earning him his first senior international appearances in September, and also being called up for the last international break.

The Seagulls have been reported to be keen on cutting short his loan spell and are willing to pay Boca to terminate the loan deal, which could very well take things sideways.

The loan deal with the Argentine club was supposed to see Allister play for the club till the end of the season, with the midfielder having made it clear he wants to stay with the club till the end of the season.

Speaking to Nuevo Diario, Allister said: “My wish is to stay. It will depend on the people who run the club whether they love me or not, but I’m very happy in Boca.

“Today, I am fulfilling the dream of being here and playing with the Argentine national team. I am in a situation that is great for me, and I enjoy it a thousand times over.”
