Reports from Europe, is currently claiming that Scottish giants Celtic are looking to land themselves Schakle 04 forward Franco Di Santo.
The Argentina-born, striker has formerly played for Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and even giants Chelsea, but was unable to make an impact in any of those teams, before joining up the Bundesliga team back in 2015.
The Celts boss, Brendan Rodgers seems to be sure of the success the Argentine will become in the Scottish Premier League. The forward is said to be a backup option for Moussa Dembele should a tempting offer(that can’t be rejected) arrive for the France International.
The 28-year-old has not been crucial in front goal, as couldn’t find the back of the net in 16 matches while playing for Chelsea and bagged himself a goal while playing for Blackburn Rovers in 24 appearances on loan from the Blues squad.
Di Santo averaging a goal in six games, have scored 13 goals in 92 appearances for Wigan Athletic, and while playing for Bundesliga club, Werder Bremen bagged himself 29 goals in 119 matches.
However, with this statistics Di Santo possesses, Celtic fans will not be happy with the choice striker their manager is going for to replace their deadly striker, who has scored 40 times in 70 appearances for the Celts since joining in the summer of 2016.
Dembele was recently linked with a move to the Premier League and La Liga with Brighton & Hove Albion and Villareal highly interested in signing the France International.
The Frenchman links outside the Celtic Park has sparked some fear in Rodgers which has him scouting around for a better replacement to land with the Celts, but Franco Di Santo, who is yet to pull up a better performances in his entire footballing career, seems like a cheap option for the Celts team.
