As the transfer window starts to round up, we’ve already seen some Done transfer deals this summer in the Premier League and as it unfolds Crystal Palace have now added to their squad a free agent from Germany Max Meyer.
The creative midfielder have completed his move to the Selhurst park and becomes their third summer signing this summer after his contract with Bundesliga club Schalke expired.
Graduating from Schalke 04 academy, the 22-year-old attacker has received four caps for the Germany’s senior team but was not included in their 2018 World Cup 23-man squad
Showing his excitement in signing for the Eagles, he said BBC: “I’m proud to be here and I hope I can make the next step in my career.”
The German prospects was a key man for the Schalke team as they provided astounding performance in the Bundesliga last season finishing at the second spot on the table with 21 points behind league leaders Bayer Munich, helping them to a qualifications to the Champions League next season.
Since being promoted to the first of the Bundesliga club Meyer went on to bag 22 goals and further creating 24 assists in 192 appearances.
Adding to his honours Max Meyer helped his country win the silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic games after making a full international debut in 2014.
Could Meyer help Crystal Palace achieve a better position in league next season.
Palace also added to their squad a goalkeeper Vicente Guaita(Getafe) and West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate in July.
