Tabs were kept on the Ajax attacking midfielder after displaying decent performance at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and could just be on his way out of the Dutch club in January winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old took his brilliant performance at the World Cup back to Ajax where he continued his form bagging four goals and further providing three in eight Eredivisible appearance so far this season and is destined for more.
Due to his performance several European clubs have shown interest in Ziyech.
AS Roma is also reported to be among the suitors chasing the Morocco international, but Hakim Ziyech’s agent Rene Van Der Gijp wants a club bigger than the Italian club mentioning rivals Liverpool and Arsenal.
Van Der Gijp said to Voetbal Primeur: “I hope that there will be a better club than Roma – an Arsenal or Liverpool.”
Liverpool might just be jumping on a deal to bring him to Anfield after Nabil Fekir deal crashed off last summer due to medical reasons and the void left in the midfield by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with injury.
While Arsenal on the other hand could table an offer following rumours claiming Aaron Ramsey will leave the club.
The agent was then asked if he would favor a move to Liverpool’s rival Everton, Gijp said: “That would be crazy for that boy, he should not go to Everton.”
According to Calciomercato, AS Roma are strongly interested in bringing Hakim Ziyech to Stadio Olimpico in Italy having failed to sign his last summer due to a five-year deal not being agreed on for both parties.
Ziyech impressive and his agent’s comments can see him land at a Premier League club this winter having scored 4 goals in eight appearances so far this season.
