Following their departure from the Champions League semi-final last season, Italian giants AS Roma have now completed the signing of Justin Kluivert from Ajax for a reported fee of £15.16 million.
The Dutch youngster, who his the son of Netherlands legend Patrick Kluivert, has officially put pen to paper to sign a five-year deal with the Serie A outfits.
The 19-year-old said in Roma official website: “I’m feeling great, I’m at an unbelievable club and I can’t wait to start.
“I think Roma is a great club for me – I think they can build me into a bigger, stronger player and I can do some nice things here.”
The Dutch winger is one of the most promising and exciting young player in European football, or a least that’s the opinion of AS Roma sporting director Monchi, who said: “I think that Justin is already one of the most exciting young players in European football.
“Because of this it was not easy to bring him to Roma ahead of a number of other clubs. But Justin believes Roma is the perfect club for him to continue hisdevelopment and realise his enormous potential.”
Justin Kluivert, who was a graduate from the Ajax youth academy, has bagged 10 goals in 30 appearances for the Eredivisible outfit last season and has represented his country in different age levels and the Senior team taking the same steps as his father Patrick, who before moved to Italy.
