With deadline day in England now past behind us, we’ve seen some done deal on the same day but we will be looking at Leicester City wrapping up and signing deal for Turkish defender Caglar Soyuncu.
The 22-year-old defender has now joined the Foxes on a reported to be worth £19m from Freiburg after reaching an agreement with the club.
Soyuncu is yet to be granted a work permit in England as its still processing which could take some days, but Leicester are somewhat confident the permit will be granted to the Turkish International.
Joining the German side Freiburg from Altinordu in the summer of 2016 has made a total 55 appearances for the German club with one goal to his honours.
The 22-year-old, who has been tagged to be a future prospects of Football defender, has capped for his Country 15 times in the international level.
Caglar Soyuncu has been reported to have agreed five-year contract with the Foxes with the work permit still underway.
Desperately working on their defence, Leicester City also added to their team Croatian U-21 defender Filip Benkovic from Dinamo Zagreb for a fee worth £13m.
Representing his country in the U-21 level, Benkovic has signed and sealed a five-year which will see him at the king Power Stadium till the summer 2023.
“I will give all my heart to this club, the fans, to everybody,” the 21-year-old Croatian said via BBC.
“The ambitions of Leicester City are so big,” he continued. “I think it’s a very good step for me to go to the next level. I’m very happy to be here.”
Also give his verdict about the new signing, Leicester manager Claude Puel said: “Filip is an exciting young player who has the potential to develop even more at Leicester.
“He has made a big contribution to Dinamo Zagreb over the last three years and has also benefited from experiencing European football.
“I know he will give us some great options and competition in the squad and I’m delighted to have him here.”
The Foxes has already added to their team several players in the club this summer, being goalkeeper Danny Ward from Liverpool, defender Jonny Evans from West Brom, full-back Ricardo Pereira from Porto, midfielder James Maddison from Norwich City and winger Rachid Ghezzal.
