Having agreed to personal terms with the Canaries, the 21-year-old will be set for a move to the Championship for a fee of £1.5 million.
Buendia has not only been scouted by the Canaries over the years, but also Leeds United and newly relegated club from the Premier League, Swansea City, reports claims the Daniel Farke side have emerged victor in the race to sign the Getafe starlet.
The 21-year-old youngster spent his last campaign on loan with Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa who competes in the La Liga 2, but couldn’t save Leonesa from relegating further down in the Spanish League.
Despite the relegation, the Argentine footballer was able to receive player of the Season after recording six goals and 13 assists in 40 appearances for Leonesa and hi impressive performance throughout the campaign.
The Canaries are looking to strengthen their team for a better performance next season following a poor campaign in the Championship this last season, finishing at the 14 position with 60 points.
Emiliano Buendia could be just what Norwich City needs to reclaim back their glory days and possible gain a promotion back to Premier League, being a playmaker and can be deployed in the wing position or as an attacking midfielder, and was deemed as the best replacement for James Maddison, who could leave the club to the Premier League this summer.
