Liverpool forward, Roberto Firmino has not been happy with the comments of Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos regarding goalkeeper Loris Karius concussion he suffered during the Champions League final calling him an “idiot”.
Welsh International, Gareth Bale destroyed Liverpool chance at lifting the Champions title, coming off the bench in the second half to score a brace to help the Los Blancos win their third consecutive Champions League in Kiev.
However, the Merseysiders fans are not giving Gareth Bale any credits for his overhead kick in the match, laying all the blame on Ramos following his aggressive challenge on their star Mohamed Salah during the first half.
The challenge was a major concern for the UEFA and FIFA, who took action filing an online petition against the Spanish defender, that registered more than 500,000 signatures.
Speaking to Spanih newspaper As, Sergio Ramos said via Goal: “I am only missing Roberto Firmino saying he got a cold because a drop of my sweat landed on him.”
Which didn’t go well with Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, who said: “I prefer not to make any comments,”
“I think he has a view because he was the champion but I thought he was an idiot for what he said, but that’s okay.”
Following the mistakes of Karius during the Champions League final, Liverpool are currently on the lookout for Firmino national teammate Alisson Becker and other goalkeepers in Europe.
“Sometimes I talk to him about it and have a joke with him, saying ‘you should come to Liverpool’,” Firmino continued in the news conference at Brazil’s pre-World Cup training camp.
“His agent is sorting his future but it wouldn’t be a bad thing to have him here at Liverpool.”
