Adding to their tally in the goalkeeping position, Fulham have completed the signing of Sevilla goalie Sergio Rico on a season-long loan deal.
Desperate to make a strong appearance in the English Top Flight, the Cottagers signed La Liga goalkeeper on a one-year loan deal with the club.
The 24-year-old shot stopper was initially interested in by several big European clubs and Chelsea, before the blues made the signing of Atletico Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga
Having being capped by his country Spain once, Rico will be set to battle with Fabri, who was signed from Besiktas this summer, and out-of-favour Marcus Bettinelli for Fulham no. 1 jersey.
Showing his excitement on joining the Cottagers, Rico said: “I’m very happy, really pleased to have signed for the oldest club in the Premier League.
“I’m excited to start training, to meet all my teammates and, above all, to enjoy the season that starts this Saturday.”
Sergio Rico was part of the Sevilla first team that won the Europa League twice, but went down the pecking order following some decisive mistakes he made as a goalie, however, the 24-year-old was still able to pack a total of 170 appearances for the Spanish team.
