In the brinks of holding what is left in the hopes of a Premier League title regain from current league leaders, Chelsea has thrown all doubts to the dust about Alvaro Morata and N’Golo Kante being in contention for the Crystal palace game on Saturday.
According to reports, the Blues duo could might just regain their fitness when the English defenders host Italian side AS Roma for a Champions League game on Wednesday.
Morata and Kante were both sent back to London by their respective countries after sustaining an injury during the international break, with the Spanish striker said to be on the sideline for six weeks after suffering a grade two hamstring. While France International was seen limping off the field while representing his country and is yet to be assessed by the club’s medicals.
Unlike his teammate, Morata has been assessed by the Blues medical staff at Cobham and will be expected to make a speedy recovery in the coming games.
The Blues will be returning to action as they will be facing off the Eagles during the weekend, with the hopes of gathering all three points to reduce the points seperating them from the League leaders Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Eagles are yet to bag a goal for themselves this season in the league under manager Roy Hodgson, which should see the Blues destroy the defence of the Eagles.
Having won their last two Champions League games against Athletico Madrid and Qarabag, the Premier League Champions will welcome Roma for their third game which will be the return of their striker.
However, Kante will be returning to the London club on Tuesday with rumours suspecting it to be an hamstring injury, Chelsea fans could only hope and pray for the return of their formidable midfielder, as he has been the heart of Chelsea midfielder since his arrival last season.
