EFL champions, Wolverhampton Wanderers have added to their squad for next season Mexican and Benfica striker Raul Jimenez, who is subjected to an international clearance and a work permit in England.
The former Atletico Madrid man, who will be representing his country at the 2018 Russia World Cup, will become the wolves first summer signing as they tends to return to the Premier League with a much stronger side next season.
Raul Jimenez has bagged 14 goals in 62 appearances while representing his country in the international level and will be desperate to add more to his name this summer in Russia.
The 27-year-old will be a good addition to the Nuno Espirito Santo’s side as he looks to strengthen up his squad for the club’s next campaign in the English Top Flight.
Jimenez, who began his career with his native club Club America spending four seasons, joined Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2014 but was unable to reach his peak performance with the Spanish club which resulted in his immediate sale to Benfica the next season.
However, since his move to the Portuguese side in the summer of 2016 Jimenez has bagged a total 120 appearances scoring 31 goals in the process, helping them lift the Primeira Liga title in 2016/17 campaign.
Jimenez was in the gold-winning football squad for Mexico at the 2012 Olympics held in London, also capping 22 appearances in the Champions League for Benfica and Atletico Madrid.
No doubts the Mexico international will be of a great influence in the Wolves team as they prepare their fight in the Premier League next season.
