Wolves enters race to sign Salzburg striker Hwang Hee-Chan
Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers have been reported to have shown interest in Red Bull Salzburg winger Hwang Hee-Chan, with the hopes of strengthening up the team.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo was reported to have tagged the Salzburg winger as a top target to add to his team, according to an article on the Telegraph.
The report further claims that the Wolves Sporting Director, Kevin Thelwell, travelled to Austria on Tuesday just to watch the South Korean player star in his club 2-0 defeat at the hands of Champions League defender Liverpool.
With the January transfer window drawing closer, the report claims that a move for the 23-year-old winger is more likely to happen in the summer.
However, the Espirito side is not the only side said to be interested in Hee-Chan, as several Premier League clubs and European giants have shown started showing interests in the player, who is most likely to cost them €20-30 million currently but the winger is most likely to improve his that will push up his market value.
Hee-Chan, who can be deployed as a striker as also as a winger, joined the Austrian giants back in 2015 but was recently on loan to Hamburg for the whole of 2018/19 campaign.
Hwang Hee-Chan has been able to bag nine goals and further providing 14 assists in 22 appearances so far this season for the Austrian club. He scored three goals and assisted 5 in 6 UEFA Champions League matches this campaign
